Facial Waxing

Waxing is one of the best ways to temporarily remove unwanted hair. Waxing removes hair from the roots, not just from the skin’s surface like shaving. If waxed regularly over time, hair in the waxed areas regrows lighter and sparser. For facial waxing, removal of unwanted facial hair allows for a more youthful look and a more smooth and even application of make up.

Waxing is a form of semi-permanent hair removal that removes hair from the root.

We offer waxing of eyebrows, lip, chin, and full face. We do not offer waxing on the body. We offer laser hair removal for the face and body.

¼ – ½” long.

No. Regular and continued waxing usually results in sparser and finer hair re-growth.

It’s most uncomfortable at first since it’s a new sensation. Any discomfort dissipates quickly and decreases with regular treatments, as less hair is removed each time. Caffeine, menstruation, and pregnancy increase skin sensitivity.

Depending on the area being waxed, your appointment will take between 15-30 minutes.

Yes. Avoid all waxing while on Accutane and for a minimum of 6-12 months after coming off the medication. Facial waxing is also not recommended if you are using Accutane, Retin-A, Renova, Differin, or other types of skin thinning acne medications. If you are using any topical cream that contains these medications, you should stop them for 7 days prior to waxing.

Although we cannot predict or guarantee who may react, most clients do not experience reactions beyond redness and minor irritation. Hair may break at the root during waxing, causing some hairs to grow out faster. Please follow the recommendations below to minimize irritation and possible breakouts. Treat skin gently afterwards and avoid sun exposure, abrasives, and exfoliation for 24-48 hours on the area.

Wear sun screen and avoid direct sun exposure on the areas recently waxed.

Avoid saunas and steam rooms for 48 hours and do not use exfoliating products (AHAs, scrubs, etc) for at least 24 hours.

Routine waxing helps the skin get accustomed to the procedure and may minimize irritation.

Sunburned, irritated or thin skin areas should not be waxed.

Only the best and most gentle wax is used for our waxing procedures. We use the brand Cirapel. It is a hard wax which is gentler to the skin and does not cause redness, rash, or irritation as is more common with soft wax.
